SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Three new Sioux Falls City Councilors elected, and a fourth race headed to a runoff. Miranda Basye won a three-way race to represent the northeast district of the city. Richard Thomason and Jordan Deffenbaugh will square off in a runoff election on April 30th. Jennifer Sigette and Ryan Spellerberg were both unopposed in their city council races. The big disappointment in this election – voter turnout was less than 8 percent. Outgoing city Councilor Greg Neitzert says it’s disappointing but not surprising.
Marc Murren was reelected to the Sioux Falls School Board. He’ll be joined by Gail Swenson, who was also elected.
