Parks department starts Jacobson Plaza fee discussion with city council

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls City officials are getting excited about the opening of Jacobson Plaza near Falls Park early next year.  This week, the Parks Department took the first steps toward setting rates for using the new refrigerated Ice Ribbon.  Recreation Manager Jackie Nelson proposed skate rentals at three dollars per person, and a skating reservation fee of five dollars per person for 45 minutes.

Nelson also proposed an agreement with the Washington Pavilion management team to oversee food and beverage operations.  The city council will give final consideration to those proposals in two weeks.
