PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — Lt. Gov. Larry Rhoden would not comment about this week’s South Dakota House committee’s impeachment proceedings against Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.
“Well, I would simply say on anything regarding the impeachment hearings,” Rhoden said. “Being the presiding officer in the Senate, it would be inappropriate
for me to make any kind of response.”
Rhoden said at the start of the news conference that he was speaking for himself and not for Gov. Kristi Noem.
Rhoden said Noem was meeting with gun-related industry officials Thursday about manufacturing opportunities in South Dakota.
Democratic and Republican legislative leaders met separately with the media earlier Thursday morning.
