WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump is preparing to issue sweeping pardons for defendants charged in the Jan. 6 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, ABC News reported on Monday, citing unidentified sources.
ABC News added that Trump also planned to extend full pardons to his supporters who were not charged with engaging in violence on the day.
