SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Add “destructive severe thunderstorms” to your list of possible weather warnings for the upcoming storm season. City Emergency Manager Regan Smith says that warning will sound identical to a tornado warning, and you should respond by taking cover.
He says it’s also important to make sure your cell phone settings allow Wireless Emergency alerts on your cell phone so you have backup systems that prevent you from missing warnings.
