MADISON, S.D. (KELO.com) — Local and state law enforcement are investigating a high-speed vehicle pursuit with shots fired that started in Minnehaha County and ended in the city of Madison Thursday afternoon.
Lake County Sheriff Tim Walburg said that there were reports of shots fired from the suspects’ vehicle in other areas along 1st Street, including near Egan Avenue and the Library Park area.
He said that the pursuit ended in the area of Southwest 1st Street and Ramm Heights Drive, where the two suspects were eventually taken into custody.
The suspects are in the Lake County Jail.
The incident is being investigated by several local and state law enforcement agencies.
Walburg said no one was injured in the incident.
