BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Brookings Fire Department along with the Brookings County Sheriff’s office were called to a vehicle that was on fire.
Around 6:00 pm on Tuesday a GMC pickup was found on Main Ave on fire.
The department believes the fire was electrical.

Vehicle Fire Reported: Tuesday, 09/29/20 @ 1815 Location: 3200 Blk. of Main Ave. S.
On the above date and time the Brookings Fire Dept., and Brookings County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle that was on fire at the above location. It was found that the 1985 GMC pickup was last driven on Saturday 9/26/20 and then parked. The Brookings Fire Dept. extinguished the fire but the vehicle was a total loss. The cause of the fire was believed to be electrical.
