OTTAWA (Reuters) – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has the full support of his cabinet of ministers to continue in that role, new Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc said on Thursday.
LeBlanc said “yes,” when he was asked by reporters in Dorchester, New Brunswick if Trudeau had the support of his cabinet. Leblanc was sworn in as the finance minister on Monday, hours after Chrystia Freeland announced her shock resignation.
Canada’s Global News, citing unidentified sources earlier on Thursday, reported that Trudeau will shuffle his cabinet on Friday.
