LONDON (Reuters) – Meghan, Britain’s Duchess of Sussex, has said she has shed “too many tears to count” following the death of her rescue dog called Guy.
Meghan, wife of King Charles’ younger son Prince Harry, adopted the beagle in Canada in 2015 when she was an actress working on the TV show “Suits” and before she had met her future royal husband.
In a post on Instagram which was accompanied by photos and videos of Guy with Meghan and Harry and their two children Archie and Lilibet, the Duchess said she was devastated by the loss and thanked her pet “for so many years of unconditional love”.
“I have cried too many tears to count – the type of tears that make you get in the shower with the absurd hope that the running water on your face will somehow make you not feel them, or pretend they’re not there. But they are. And that’s okay too,” she wrote.
