PIERRE, S. D. (KELO.com) — Governor Kristi Noem is raising the ire of animal lovers.
In her soon to be published book “No Going Back”, Noem recounts her killing of a 14-month-old puppy named Cricket that killed neighbors chickens, ruined a hunting trip and tried to bite her.
She then shot Cricket dead in a gravel pit.
Wayne Pacelle, president of Animal Wellness Action and the Center for a Humane Economy, responded by writing “There’s no rational and plausible excuse for Noem shooting a juvenile dog for normal puppy-like behavior.”
Noem has been named a potential running mate for Donald Trump.
